Opto Engineering® PCMP Series recognized with Top Innovation 2022 award by inVISION
Germany - January 17, 2022 - We are glad to announce that our PCMP Series was selected by a jury of experts as one of the ten most innovative products and received the inVISION Top Innovation 2022 award. Once a year ten products or solutions are honored, for particularly innovative technology or operating concepts that enable better, more precise, or simpler inspections.
PCMP optics are multi-image lenses designed to completely measure and inspect objects whose dimensions range from 1 to 10 mm. Six different lateral views are provided by an array of mirrors interfaced to a bi-telecentric lens. The top of the object is directly imaged at the centre of the field of view

Adaptive lens for fast focusing - AO series honored by Vision Systems Design 2018 Innovators Awards Program
Boston, MA – April 11, 2018 – On April 10, Opto Engineering® - OPTICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIES was presented with a bronze-level award in the Lighting, Lenses & Optics category at the Fourth Annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards presentation, held during The Vision Show in Boston, MA. Their AO series - Adaptive lens for fast focusing was recognized by a panel of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.

Dynamic industrial inspections need advanced technology to keep perfect focus in challenging applications .
Adjusting the focus of a camera on a robot arm or tracking items across the field of view are common examples of where active focusing is required.
Logistics and in-line inspection need faster and faster inspection systems to achieve new productivity requirements. Fast beverage lines need to ched contaminants on different parts of bottles and cans.
A typical approach in these cases is closing the iris to obtain a wider depth of focus but this conflict with the need of fast and light-demanding applications.
An other approach can be the mechanical motorisation of traditional fixed focal lenses but the movement is slow and the development is always time consuming and expensive.
For these reason Opto Engineering® has developed its own focusing lens which allows customer to relosolve their problems of fast and precise focusing and save time and implementation costs.
The integration of the focusing lens is simple and plug-and-play since the module needs just to be placed in front of a standard fixel focal CCTV lens. The embedded electronic drive driver has been specifically developed to accurately control the piezoelectric elements. Connected the module to a power supply and to an ethernet port to start using the adaptive lens.
A demo user interface with basic control functions is available via a web browser interface. The lens can also be fully controlled with a dedicated .dll library. The library includes an autofocus algorithm and a calibration tool to help users integrate the adaptive module into their product or application.

Mantova, Italy, April 03, 2017 Opto Engineering® • Optical Imaging Technologies announces that its ALBERT was recognized by the judges of the annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.
ALBERT was honored with a Bronze-level Award
To meet the specific needs of the food industry Opto Engineering in cooperation with its Italian partner Sensure has applied neural networks technology to machine vision and developed an innovative and easy to use vision system that learns from examples as humans do.
The system, named ALBERT, is a self-learning vision system for shape and color inspection, based on artificial intelligence techniques. The core software is based on neural networks, software algorithms that mimic the human brain.
Thanks to a set of built-in features and its self-learning ability, ALBERT learns the characteristics of food products directly from the production line on a standard batch of products without complicated settings.
CORE series honored by Vision Systems Design 2016 Innovators Awards Program
Mantova May 04, 2016– Opto Engineering® - OPTICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIES announced today that its CORE series was recognized by the judges of the annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.
Opto Engineering® was honored with a GOLD-level award
CORE series are telecentric lenses and illuminators. They are up to 70% smaller in height than other solutions due to their design, which is patent pending internationally. They deliver excellent optical performances in extremely reduced space, allowing to built compact measurement machines with lower expenses for production, transportation and storage.
